About Indo-Pacific Nexus
The Indo-Pacific can be a distant concern for many in the United States and Europe. The region’s distance from the transatlantic community may sometimes overshadow its large population, economic dynamism and geopolitical weight. Recent years have demonstrated, however, that the linkages between the Indo-Pacific and the West cannot be ignored. From China’s support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to the critical role of Indo-Pacific states in global supply chains, the region has become a source of challenges and opportunities for the United States and Europe.
As both sides of the Atlantic reckon with an increasingly volatile world, their understanding of the Indo-Pacific and the issues that shape it becomes more crucial. Through articles, podcasts and multimedia content, this microsite, produced by the Bertelsmann Foundation, provides unique perspectives on the region and its ever-evolving interactions with the transatlantic community.
